Pride view the Raiders selection of Clemson wide receiver Hunter Renfrow?"With their final pick in the 5th round Karl Joseph Jersey , the Raiders got another Clemson Tiger and their slot receiver in Hunter Renfrow. The staff hands out their immediate reactions to the pick.Marcus KrauseHunter Renfrow is a small receiver at 5’10, 184lbs who isn’t fast with his 4.59 time but the guy plays with all heart. The bigger the moment the bigger the play you get from him, highlighted by his game winning catch in the National Championship game. With his size and non-speed combination you wouldn’t expect him to be as successful as he has been, but he catches everything thrown his way and is always willing to put his body on the line. He is a smart, efficient receiver who manages to make plays despite his small frame and could definitely figure out a spot for himself in the NFL.Grade: B+Tyler GreenThe Silver & Black added Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams in the offseason, but Renfrow has a legitimate shot to start from the slot. He is undersized, and doesn’t have elite athleticism, but he was Mr. Reliable for Clemson’s offense and won multiple National Championships with the Tigers. Renfrow is a baller, and will provide Derek Carr with a reliable option that has a knack for coming up big in clutch situations. Grade: AThomas WheatonThe slot receiver of the future for the Oakland Raiders, Hunter Renfrow brings a winning mentality to the team as a two-time national champion. He is on the shorter side at 5’10’, but he makes up for his lack of size with great hands and sneaky quickness. He finds holes in the defense and always works back to the quarterback in scramble situations. Clutch and smart, Renfrow is a great addition to the receiving corps and will help Derek Carr immensely in the passing attack. Grade: ARyan LiptonRenfrow has everything that you look for in a player. He is tough Shilique Calhoun Jersey , smart, a winner, and has performed well on the biggest stages. He is the definition of a Gruden Grinder and should provide a great and reliable weapon for Carr in the slot immediately. Gruden wanted a slot receiver with Ryan Switzer, but traded him away before the season started. Gruden has found himself a better one in this year’s draft. Grade: A- NFL fans seem to already be experiencing football withdrawal as today marks the first Sunday without professional football since September. In response, nearly three million people tuned into the brand new league, the Alliance of American Football, on Saturday. On Sunday, two former Oakland Raiders in Trent Richardson and Christian Hackenberg went head-to-head in the AAF’s second day of football. Hackenberg’s debut for the Memphis Express was abysmal. He put up a horrible stat line in going 10/23 for 87 yards and one interception in addition to being sacked twice in a 26-0 loss to the Birmingham Iron. The brief former Raiders quarterback was also heard cursing multiple times during the game making it seem like he forgot or didn’t care that he was mic’d up. Richardson had an only slightly less depressing outcome. He tallied two touchdowns and a two-point conversion, however, he also lost one fumble and totaled just 56 yards while averaging less than three yards per carry. With Raider football gone until August, catching some AAF games may be good way to tide you over for a while. There are several former Raiders in the league to watch. Richardson’s Birmingham Iron might be an interesting watch if only because they wear Silver & Black and are off to a good start this season after the blowout win in Week 1.
