GLENDALE, Ariz. Oscar Robertson Jersey . -- Ryan Millers debut for the St. Louis Blues started with a tough break and ended with a victory. Miller made 23 saves and Patrik Berglund scored twice during St. Louis four-goal, third-period rally and the Blues beat the Phoenix Coyotes 4-2 on Sunday night. Kevin Shattenkirk and Magnus Paajarvi added goals for the Blues, who had been scoreless for a franchise-record 187:44 before scoring three in a nine-plus minute span. Miller was playing in his first game since being acquired by St. Louis in a five-player deal with Buffalo on Friday. In addition to posting a 284-186-57 record in 10-plus seasons, all with the Sabres, Miller entered the game 6-0-0 with a shutout and a 1.15 goals-against average in his career against Phoenix. "I was pretty anxious and nervous all day," Miller said. "Its a new group of guys and you want to show them what youve got and let them know youre there for them." The night got off to a rocky start courtesy of an unlucky bounce less than three minutes into the game. With a teammate skating down the slot, Paul Bissonnette wristed a soft shot toward the net. St. Louis defenceman Barret Jackman, seemingly anticipating a harder attempt, dropped to the ice for the block. But the puck ticked off the prone Jackmans left skate and bounced off Millers right shoulder and into the net for the goal and a 1-0 Phoenix lead at 2:56 of the first. "Things like that happen," Miller said. "You need to be able to react quickly enough to recover." Halpern made it 2-0 at 7:09 of the second, slipping behind Shattenkirk after the Blues defenceman cleared Bissonnette from the front of the crease and scoring off Yandles pass from the left boards. But momentum turned quickly in the third. Berglund took a backhand pass from Jaden Schwartz and beat Mike Smith from the left of the net to pull St. Louis within a goal at 3-1 at 3:18 of the third, his first goal in 17 games. "Everyone on the team could see Berglund was going to score," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He was on a 2-on-1 and when it went in everyone jumped up. Once we got that first goal, it was a like the weight was lifted off of everybodys shoulders and they just took off." Just over four minutes later, Paajarvi rifled a shot past Smith from the middle of the faceoff circle to tie the game with 12:26 to go. Shattenkirk gave the Blues their first lead of the game with 7:14 left when he took a pass at the point, skated into the left faceoff circle and took advantage of a screen from T.J. Oshie to score his first goal since Jan. 21. Berglund capped the scoring with an unassisted goal with 1:39 left, jumping on a loose puck after Yandle was apparently tripped between the circles in the St. Louis zone and skating the length of the ice before scoring on a sharp wrist shot. "I think that in the last few games weve had a lot of chances, but we havent been able to capitalize," Shattenkirk said. "We did a great job of going down 2-nothing and staying with our game plan." Jeff Halpern scored his 150th career goal and Bissonnette added his first goal since Dec. 14 for the Coyotes, who have lost four straight and five of six. "I still look and there are good things that we are doing," said Coyotes coach Dave Tippett, whose team squandered a chance to move from 11th place into a wild-card playoff spot in the Western Conference. "They pushed hard and we couldnt push back." Smith made 26 saves for the Coyotes. NOTES: The Blues have won four straight in Phoenix. ... Shattenkirks goal was his first since Jan. 23. ... Bissonnette set a career high with his seventh point of the season. ... Ott, who had been the Sabres captain before the trade, also was making his St. Louis debut. ... St. Louis power-play goal was its first in its past 28 chances. ... Phoenix has surrendered the lead in five of its past 11 games. Marvin Bagley III Kings Jersey . The 20-year-old overager has appeared in 35 games for the Ontario Hockey Leagues Erie Otters this season, scoring 41 goals and adding 27 assists with a plus-28 rating. Mitch Richmond Jersey . -- Victor Bernardez tied the game with his second goal in the 95th minute and the San Jose Earthquakes drew 3-3 with Real Salt Lake on Saturday night. http://www.nbakingsonline.com/Authentic-Nemanja-Bjelica-Kings-Jersey/ . - David Tomasek had two goals in regulation time and was the lone scorer in the shootout as the Belleville Bulls upset the Oshawa Generals 6-5 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.NHL director of officiating Stephen Walkom issued a memo to his on-ice officials on Wednesday, instructing that they start calling a delay of game penalty on any player who ignores a warning to conform to the now-enforced equipment standards. And Carolinas Alex Semin felt the brunt of this call, receiving a two-minute penalty for having his sweater tucked into his pants late in the first period of the Hurricanes preseason game against Columbus. According to the leagues mandate - which gained traction last March at the NHLs general managers meetings - players will be warned and then penalized if they intentionally ignore protocol. Penalties may also be called on players who dont have their hockey pants properly zippered, or for those who choose to play with their sleeves rolled to their elbow pads. Safety concerns are the primary reason for closely monitoring how a player adjusts his sleeves or pants, but the managers issues with those who choose tuck their sweater in speaks more to marketing and identification of the players and his number. And cue the Wayne Gretzky eye roll. By todays standard, every NHL player will have to have his sweater properly draped over his pants and covering all hard equipment...otherwise, he will face the wrath of the fashion poli...er, the referees. Now without question, NHL officials do not - and will not - like having to call these penalties, but league sources insist they will not back off and hope the more penalties called in the preseason will translate into fewer calls in the regular season as the players conform. As an aside, I watched a Pee Wee AAA team practice on Wednesday and counted 11 of 15 skaters with their sweaters tucked. Most of these boys have no idea why they do it, other than they think it looks cool and - of course - Alex Ovechkin wears his sweater that way. Or, did. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking toward a final decision on the use of hybrid icing in the upcoming regular season. The NHLPA has to sign off on the change before it can be officially implemented. The PA intends on gathering feedback from players starting next week, but no decision has been made by the players as to how the intel will be gathered. While its too soon to predict how the players will act on the matter in the days ahead, theres reason to believe they will opt to stay with status quo and reject hybrid icing. ----- New Yorks Derrek Stepan and Torontos Cody Franson are continuing their hardball approach as both restricted free agents remain at an impasse in contract negotiations. Harry Giles Jersey. Given the state of discussions, Stepan - New Yorks top centre last season - is unlikely to be on the Rangers roster when they open Oct. 3 in Phoenix. Sources say that Stepan remains locked on a bridge deal that would pay him $3.5 million per year, while New York would happily sign off on a two-year agreement at $3 million per. Doesnt sound like much, but cap teams like the Rangers are crunching every dollar to comply. While the Rangers see a great future in Stepan, they also like their depth up the middle with Brad Richards, Derick Brassard, Brian Boyle and Dominic Moore. Toronto seems just as happy to start the season without Cody Franson and unless their hand is forced by an offer sheet, the team could let Franson sit for an extended period - as in weeks or months. The Leafs have offered Franson a two-year deal at just under $2.4 million and sound unwilling to accept Fransons counter of a one-year contract unless the money comes in at $2 million or less. Unlikely. Franson deserves more, but if Toronto gives in on a one-year contract, Franson regains arbitration rights next summer - one year out from unrestricted free agency - which puts the Leafs in a very vulnerable bargaining position. Replacing Franson in the lineup is tough, but the addition of Paul Ranger - combined with the potential of Morgan Rielly and Andrew MacWilliam - is fueling the Leafs brass to hold its ground in this dispute. ----- The NHLs Board of Governors meet on Monday in New York. As per usual, this meeting will serve as a state of the NHL update. Franchise matters ranging from the expected sale of the Florida Panthers, the sale of the New Jersey Devils and the latest on the Ilitch familys ownership transfer in Detroit will be covered by the commissioners office. Some around the league expect future expansion to find its way into discussions at the board level on Monday as well. If Seattles plan to construct a new building is followed through, its believed Seattle will remain of interest to the NHL. However, sources say there isnt going to be a major expansion plan or push given the improved financial stability of all 30 NHL teams anytime soon. Until next time... ' ' '
